To become a professional stenographer, one must undergo specific training. This  involves attending an accredited college or technical school.

In order to graduate and become certified, the reporting student must reach a speed of  225 words per minute on a shorthand machine.

Each one of Albany Court Reporting's experienced professional stenographers has their certification from the NCRA-approved school they attended.

In addition, all of our professional stenographers are New York State Notaries.
