What is Realtime Court Reporting?

Realtime Court Reporting means counsel gets instant translation of shorthand into English, wirelessly,  at the deposition location or via the internet anywhere in the world.  Look at the reporter’s rough draft of the transcript as the deposition is happening.  Albany Court Reporting is proud to provide Realtime Court Reporting services to our clients.

How does it work?
The court reporter’s steno machine is wirelessly connected to a laptop which is running sophisticated transcription software that automatically translates the steno into English, enabling counsel to receive an automatic, or "realtime," feed to their laptop/tablet*, iPhone, smartphone, etc.,  directly from the court reporter’s writer.

*We are happy to provide counsel with a loaner laptop/tablet. Just ask.
